2024 Fungi Fest, Saturday, October 12
October 12 @ 10:00 am – 3:00 pm
Celebrate the fantastic world of fungi with Sunriver Nature Center & Observatory and the Central Oregon Mushroom Club on
Saturday, October 12, 2024
from 10am to 3pm
The first annual FungiFest & Mushroom Show took place in 2017 at the end of Central Oregon’s fall mushroom season, under a foot of snow. Each year since then, the event has grown in scale and has been moved up to early October to coincide with the peak of our area’s mushroom season. The event is presented in partnership with Central Oregon Mushroom Club (COMC) whose members provide the expertise for collecting and identifying hundreds of mushroom specimens and share their passion for mushroom diversity throughout the event.
The 2024 event is scheduled for Saturday, October 12 and will take place in person at Sunriver Nature Center & Observatory. A keynote lecture from a guest mushroom expert, mushroom foraging field trips, a mushroom dinner and other programs are held in the days leading up to the main event. Although the Fest is free to current members of COMC, everyone must register online. Go to the Sunriver Nature Center and Observatory website at https://fungifest.snco.org
